Audition Information for The Friends of Broadway Season 13

About the Friends of Broadway

FOB performs songs and dances from hit Broadway musicals and popular artists of yesterday and today. Our 60 minute concert is family friendly, interactive, and explodes with talent and excitement. Since 1998, our mission has been to reach out to the community through song and dance. We have performed for hundreds of venues all across the country including Disney World in Orlando, Florida; aboard Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas in the Bahamas; and at The Producer's Club in New York City. We are committed to sharing our gift of music to people from all walks of life as well as helping other charitable organizations!

Seeking...

We are looking for female singers and dancers ages 7-20 for our 2012 thirteenth season tour. Everyone must audition in order to be considered for a role, including current and former cast members. "FOB" is an advanced performance troupe, therefore dancers are expected to have excellent choreography pick up and a well-rounded background in a variety of styles (classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop). Last season's cast took an average of 3 hours of dance class per week, not including additional dance teams or musical theater training. Singers must have excellent pitch, rhythm, presence, and clarity. Most importantly, we are looking for team players with personality, stage presence, and who are comfortable entertaining/engaging a crowd! While prior experience isn't necessary to audition, former cast members range from Broadway actors to professional recording artists so it is important to understand that the audition process is both competitive and rigorous.
