This group of local girls in grades 2-10 was founded in 1998 by then 14-year-old Samantha Hammel. Twelve years years later, Samantha has continued to grow and enhance her original dream of sharing her love of music with others. Originally a group of six, the group has expanded to include over 20 girls from all over Massachusetts.
"The Friends of Broadway" is a musical revue of girls who travel all over the country singing and dancing to the likes of Broadway, movies, pop songs, oldies, holiday/summer favorites, and much more! There is something for everyone in this high energy, non-stop fun show that the whole family can enjoy!
One mission of this talented troupe is to help worthy non-profit organizations raise money. FOB has donated its time to nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and churches, and has lent its talents to Children's Hospital in Boston, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Foundation for Faces of Children, Operation Smile, Cystic Fibrosis, the Jimmy Fund, American Cancer Society, and many more.
