Improv Nights - Walk in Class
Wednesday, May 16
Join us for hilarious nights of improvisational warm ups and games for all levels! Wednesday, May 16 from 5:45-6:45 (grades 2-4) and 6:45-7:45 (grades 5-8). $15 per student and walk-ins are welcome!
Dear Edwina, Jr. Youth Musical Workshop - Grades 3-6
May 5-June 2
Follow the adventures of advice-giver extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple as she directs the kids in the neighborhood in production number after hilarious production number in her "Advice-A-Palooza" extravaganza. Written in the style of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Dear Edwina, Jr. is the perfect girl power musical for a new generation. (PLUS: PLENTY of great parts for boys, too!)
Role Placement: Saturday, May 5 from 10am-2pm

Spring Dance & Theater Intensive Workshop - Ages 5-18

Our annual 6 week spring dance & theater intensives are a great way to continue your training once Conservatory classes have ended for the year. They are also perfect for beginners or those who want to try something new!

Broadway Babies Workshop - Grades K-1

Rehearse and perform a fabulous musical revue as the opening act to Once On This Island!
Rehearsals: Thursdays May 10, 17, 24, 31; June 7, 14, 21 from 5:00-6:00pm at the studio and Saturday, June 23 from 12:00-1:00pm at the theater.
Performance: Saturday, June 23 at 2:00pm at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, Watertown.

Summer Theater Workshops - Entering grades 1-12
June-August
Our theater workshops are the perfect way for young actors to spend a week or two (or four) this summer! Students will take a variety of classes in dance, theater, and voice in addition to preparing for a musical production! Choose from musicals like Legally Blonde, The Aristocats, Hairspray, Annie, Thoroughly Modern Millie and more!Workshops typically run one or two weeks Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm with a final performance on the last Friday.

June 28-July 3 - Entering grades 3-5
All of your favorite characters are here in Disney's Aladdin Jr., a stage adaptation of the Disney hit film. Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, audiences' spirits will soar with excitement. Most of all, the tuneful, Academy award-winning score with songs including "A Whole New World" and "Friend Like Me" will certainly make this musical a favorite for many years to come!
June 28-July 3 - Entering grades 1-3
Madame's jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her Aristokittens and abandons them in the Parisian countryside. What's a cat to do? Luckily, Thomas O'Malley and his rag-tag bunch of Alley Cats come to their rescue! This feline adventure is sure to get your audiences tapping their feet to its hep, jazzy beat, which includes the Disney favorites "The Aristocats," "Scales and Arpeggios" and "Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat."
Musical Theater Intensive
June 28-July 3 - Entering grades 5-8
A challenging workshop focusing on a wide range of dance and theater styles with a final performance. Tackle a variety of wonderful roles to stretch yourself as an actor, singer, and dancer!
July 9-20 - Entering grades 4-9
Hairspray delighted audiences by sweeping them away to 1960's Baltimore, where the 50's are out — and change is in the air! Loveable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show." Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate the television show, and find true love (singing and dancing all the while, of course!) without mussing her hair?
July 23-August 3 - Entering grades 3-5
Annie is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Leapin' Lizards! The popular comic strip heroine takes centerstage in one of the world's best-loved musicals.
July 23-August 3 - Entering grades 5-11
Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr. is a high-spirited musical romp that has all of New York dancing the Charleston. It's the zany new 1920's musical that has taken Broadway by storm! Taking place in New York City in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr. tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It's a New York full of intrigue and jazz — a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular movie, the stage version of includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers.
August 6-17 - Entering grades 9-12
Sorority star Elle Woods doesn't take "no" for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone "serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.
